1972 06 <Lucy wasborn in 1972 in the sixth season of Tai Yang This is her letter after treatment: " I am still at the stage where I am pinching myself. It is so inspiring to be living my life free of pain. Before meeting Simon and receiving treatment, I had gottten to the point of accepting that I may always have this pain in my lower back.I had tried so many different treatments and pain killers!!!!!Trying to do things normally was difficult as the pain was a nagging reminder that I was not well. My spirit was low, my creativity non existant!!!! Confidence, self esteem and trust was becoming a struggle. I was angry and living my life with a constant lump in my throat!!!!!Finding Simon was as precious as my spirituality, fate, coincidence, love.I felt like an injured animal , wrapped in a towel , taken in with no option other than trust!!!!! The process itself to me was one of preparation, with any kind of healing you have to be ready to be well . To be open to learn about yourself , to relive in your mind the moments that may be the cause of the manifestation of pain. We worked together to find the most appropriate acupuncture points for treatment. I walked away with an excited feeling, even I thought , if the pain did not go away, I'd give it a chance to go."It Did !!!!!!!!!"On my second visit I wanted to delve deeper and to free up more energy.Because of my emotions Simon applied some deep acupuncture . After the treatment I got drunk as I did not want to face the emotions which had been brought to the surface. The next morning when I woke I was in terrible pain in my back like the first time that I had ever felt it!!!!!!!!!!I felt positive though????? It took two days to go completely!!!!! I now have no back pain!I am still trying to get my head round it! All other aspects of my life have been affected!!!!! I am free to be me!Cheers Simon Lucy November 2000

1947 02 <Sheila born in 1947 in the second season of Shao Yin>suffered severe and sudden anaphylactic Shock in 1999 05 at the new moon after exposure to 2 collie dogs, and had to be immediately hospitalised.I have treated her for a number of years but not recently except for one treatment. She has been suffering from thyroid problems and takes thyroxine.

Acupuncture on its own is not appropriate as an emergency treatment because only intravenous epinephrine is recommended plus oxygen as the condition can be life threatening within 5 - 10 minutes.

It is likely that a good diet ie food grown on organic soil and in season would provide all the vitamins and minerals necessary to the biochemical chain which produces epinephrine, while a centred life style and a properly balanced set of pulses as a result of acupuncture treatment will diminish the quantities that are needed in this biochemical chain. As for the kidneys, the sixty year cycle shows us that the nervous system and the kidneys are at a disadvantage in 1999 so beware of allergic reactions

Here is some (simplified) chemistry relevant to the problems of anaphylactic shock:

phenylalanine/tyrosine -- >

dopamine dopamine + Vit. C -- > epinephrine

phenylalanine/tyrosine + iodine -- > thyroxine

When the body is under stress, it generates epinephrine as a way of coping. When that epinephrine runs out, one goes into anaphylactic shock.

One common way of dealing with that shock, is to inject synthetic epinephrine, such as via an Epi-Pen. Many who have serious allergies carry one. (We are NOT suggesting they abandon this practice! Better safe than sorry.)

But what if, instead of depending upon external means, one were to try to minimize the occurrence of anaphylaxis by insuring one has more phenylalanine and vitamin C in one's diet? What if, Indeed! Perhaps that is why those who eat large doses of vitamin C have so few complications and reactions. And perhaps why their reaction patterns differ so much from those of people who run out of vitamin C before they run out of dopamine.

What is the reaction pattern of a person who is low on dopamine? The ones found in Parkinsonism -- "reluctance" and difficulty in moving, as well as "cogging", which is the tendency of moving in discrete amounts, as if gears and cogs are involved. Plus, while dopamine may run out, the remaining vitamin C is acting as a free radical scavenger and a mediator of antibody activity, thus protecting the tissues.

As to the reaction of one who runs out of vitamin C; well, it seems we call that anaphylaxis. This is not intended as medical advice. For the medical significance of this information, consult a doctor who understands biochemistry. Not all do. (Indeed, you'd be surprised at how few really do.) We suggest a doctor who practices Orthomolecular Medicine. http://www.Orthomed.com.

Family Letter by MrDerek Sendall 22 Island Rd., Mitcham CR4 3JH 0181 648 0975 To whoever reads this letter My name is Derek Sendall I was asked if I would write about my experience with acupuncture. My son Adam was a very nervous child where by if he had an exam to do he would end up sitting on the toilet and with a bowl on his lap, Trying to go to the toilet and be sick at the same lime. We had been to the doctors lots and lots of times and all they ever do is to give you tablets, When he was about 13 years old a very good friend of ours suggested acupuncture and to take Adam along to see if he would like to try it. In all Adam went 6 times he is now 24 years old he has passed his city and guilds in motor vehicle body repairing and is a much more out going person, As his father I am very proud to what he has achieved. The acupuncturist's name is Mr Simon Bigwood, The story does not end there on the 18.09.99. I had a motor bike accident I received 4 broken ribs and my left leg was swollen to 3 times its normal size and Ihad cuts to my arms and shoulders. After I came out of hospital I felt really fed up as if at any moment I would cry. My wife suggested that I phoned Simon Bigwood and as you should never argue with the wife I phoned and made an appointment. Simon is a nice frindly person who makes you feel relaxed and goes into your whole life, I do not understand what he has done or how it works but it did and has for me. I was with him for 5 hours it was a long time but it took a long time to go into everything My wife Susan is now going to Simon as she saw what he had done for me in such a short time, She has been having headaches bad ones where she has to go and lie down on and of for the last 10 years. She has been going to the doctors and the hospital, Where they gave her tablets to try, And if they don't work give you a different lot of tablets, So after all this time she is now trying acupuncture with Simon and feels a lot better in her self. I am not saying acupuncture is the be all and end all but it has helped myself and my family.

Yours Derek Sendall
